1.7.0 release (beta 1 of Nootka 2)

Releases

This release is a big breakthrough comparing to the “old” branch 1.4.6. Almost everything is new, but first of all it brings:

– rhythms support

Now, Nootka can play melodies with rhythms and score can be easily edited with that. Also rhythms are detected from the air, so Nootka is able to verify does a real piece of score was played correctly.

Nootka plays bandoneon

– Metronome

To play in rhythm metronome was added, and it may tick audible (earphone(s) using suggested)

– Support for new instruments

But saxophones, bandoneon and piano are experimental (not well tested) it is why beta versions exists.

– Music XML

Nootka reads Music XML files and exams/exercises can be assembled from them.

– and Nootka speaks (is translated to) more languages:

Just above changes give plenty of combinations what Nootka can be capable of, but there are much more. They will be revealed in next posts/pictures/videos.

However better to see them yourself because a lot of testing and feedback is needed now…
